Together with Colien Langerwerf and Eduard Bezembinder, I’ve made a whole lot of LED art.

Here’s an example of our “Jesus” picture, where the drops of blood are red LEDs, driven by an Atmel AT89C4051 chip. The AT89C4051 can hold 4K of code/data. I’ve used the Quasar 3123 ATMEL 89xxxxx DIY kit to load data to the AT89C4051. I programmed the LED patterns in Dunfield Micro/C 8051, which is a C compiler for the 8051 family of chips. It outputs hex files which can be uploaded to the AT89C4051.
